He's back! The man behind the mask...

I love that Friday the 13th has become a sort of Holiday for horror nerds. Every Friday the 13th I see people posting Jason Voorhees fanart, watching Friday the 13th movies, and talking about their favorite Friday the 13th flicks. Much like the Bond franchise, every Friday is someone’s favorite. Personally, I don’t really care for 7, 9, or 10, but I love that each one of those movies has a devout fanbase.

I just watched part 6 this morning. One of my favorite entries in the series. Jason Lives has some great set pieces and lighting that make it feel more like a studio movie than some of the cheaper entries in the franchise. It has a fun Universal Monsters-style gothic edge, and best of all it has music by @AliceCooper. I’ve been listening to a lot of Alice this year, and discovering some of his stranger albums like “Flush the Fashion” has been a true delight.

I’ve also been listening to a lot of “In Voorhees we trust” with @MattGourley and @PaulRust. I listened to all the episodes last year, but thought it was time for a re-listen in preparation for their new podcast “In Myers we trust”.
